The Power of the Affidavit

Affidavits are serving as powerful tools in the quest for justice for survivors of childhood sexual abuse.

What is an affidavit? Why should survivors of heinous crimes care?

An affidavit is a sworn statement in writing made before an authorized official.

Merriam-Webster

An affidavit can simply be a formal statement or declaration of truth and fact that you type up. Then, you take it to a Notary Public to serve as a witness. When you autograph it, you are swearing an oath that the contents are true to the best of your knowledge.

Here’s an example of such an oath…..

I hereby declare, certify and state, pursuant to the penalties of perjury under the laws of the United States of America, and by the provisions of 28 USC 1746 that all of the above and foregoing representations are true and correct to the best of my knowledge, information, and belief.

(example)

The Notary Public will sign an oath at the bottom of your affidavit, verifying your identity. You can have several copies of the same affidavit notarized to provide to different individuals, publicly publish at your county’s recorder’s office, and keep an original for your records.

A Tool for Justice

Many survivors of heinous Crimes Against Children have been denied their ‘day in court.’ Ridiculous Statutes of Limitations, low-level employees providing cover for their bosses, or the fact that ‘sex’ was involved are three common strikes used against rape victims of public, church, and corporate officials.

Survivors of ritual abuse carry an extra burden, due to the nature of the crimes committed against them. Often, police detectives refuse to take their reports, and attorneys refuse to take their cases – unless they omit the ritual part of their complaint.

That’s where the affidavit can come into play.

When ‘authorities’ refuse to give you a fair hearing, don’t quit. Like in the story of The Little Red Hen, when no one else will bother to help, you can do what needs to be done yourself. And we are here to assist you!

The following short video clip shows David Straight, an advocate for victims and survivors of child trafficking, share a story about what happened after two satanic ritual abuse survivors turned in affidavits.
